Dandelion Root

Dandelion Root

Nature’s ‘liver tonic’, for centuries dandelion root was often used in natural medicine to help liver disorders, the growth and strength of bones, to maintain blood sugar levels, remove toxins and improve skin conditions including eczema.

Diuretic in nature, the dandelion root can help kidneys expel toxins by increasing urine production.  It also improves liver function by stimulating bile production and aiding optimal digestive function.  Proper digestion can reduce the chances of constipation which in turn reduces the risk of more serious gastrointestinal issues.

Every part of the dandelion plant is rich in antioxidants that prevent free-radical damage to cells and DNA, slowing down the ageing process in our cells. The dandelion root is a rich source of beta-carotene, which once consumed we turn into vitamin A.  Dandelion is also packed with vitamin C, fibre, potassium, iron, calcium, magnesium, zinc, phosphorus and has more protein than spinach.

When roasted and blended perfectly alongside chicory, dandelion roots offer a smooth rich aromatic flavour making a delicious caffeine free alternative to coffee – as in our ROASTED

Helps kidneys to expel toxins, full of vitamins and minerals and has more protein than spinach.
